I am Thomas Chang, CA DRE 02276777, a real estate agent affiliated with Compass. I run this site.
What the form collects
The contact form and the note panel collect your name and your phone number or email. They also collect your message if you write one. If you open them from the Buying or Selling page, they note which one.
Who handles your message
Everything you send travels through Cloudflare to my Compass email, so it is also held in that mailbox. Compass's privacy policy says it does not govern an agent's own website, like this one. It also says Compass may process, use or store information it receives through its agents, and may contact you.
I use your details to reply to you and help with what you asked. I may share them as needed for that, such as with a lender, an escrow company or another agent on your purchase or sale. I also share them when the law requires it. I do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
The moving planner
The planner runs in your browser, and this site does not send or save your answers. They show in the page address after the # mark, which browsers do not send to the server. Anyone you give that address to can see your answers. Your browser's history can keep it too.
If you follow the link from your plan to the contact form, hidden fields hold your goal (or that you are still deciding), your timeline and your area. All three reach me only if you send the form. The contact page clears them from its address before the spam check loads.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare hosts this site. Each time you load a page, it handles your IP address and similar traffic details. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers this.
On the contact page, and when you open the note panel on any other page, Cloudflare also runs Turnstile, a check that stops spam bots. To do that, it handles technical details such as your IP address and browser type. It also uses those details to improve its bot checks. Cloudflare says Turnstile does not access, store or send form entries. See its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare's checks can use cookies or local storage.
This site adds no analytics tools and no ad tracking. Cloudflare's dashboard gives me traffic totals. I do not track you across other sites, so a browser's Do Not Track setting changes nothing here.
One outside company can collect data about your activity here, over time or across other sites. That company is Cloudflare, as host and through its checks.
Your choices
Email me to see, fix or delete what you sent. If the law says I must keep something, I will keep it. Compass's policy lets it keep some records of its own.
